Alaine Mukene

Alaine Mukene is passionate about equality and social justice, as well as food and technology!

She has worked at NEAD (Norfolk Education & Action for Development) for almost a decade, and promotes cross-curricular global aspects of learning across East Anglian classrooms through her role as Media Resources Coordinator. She is also involved in various community and church social justice activities.

Alaine is a Director of TOTEM – young locals with African connections – establishing an African café and social space in Norwich city-centre. TOTEM aims to bring together tastes, cultures, experiences, locals and incomers to share activities, exhibitions, events and exciting collaborations. Currently that means raising awareness and support, as well as funding.
