You believe you can do it better, if you see someone from your background make it.

    Quote from a young person

The theme for Black History Month 2010 is Black Role Models! We want to celebrate and recognise the achievements of positive Black Role Models, locally, regionally and nationally.

It is easy to understand why Norfolk Black History Month identifies and values the importance of Black Role Models. Why? – it is because evidence shows the benefits of people who come into contact with positive role models.

This good beginning to an exciting month only needs people to join us – this includes, members of the public, voluntary and community sectors to Launch Black History Month 2010 and commend all the Black Role Models.

Refreshments Provided. Please contact us in advance to book a place.

Black Role Models are needed to give youth a different outlook on life. To give them a belief in themselves.
