    A colourful, participative dance and drumming session led by Anna Mudeka. Suitable for all the family. Supported by COAST Festival.

    The drumming rhythms from southern and western regions of Africa will be in three and four parts accompanied with singing. Participants will gain insight into the culture and rituals of Sub-Saharan Africa while having fun with Anna Mudeka.

    Anna Mudeka is not only a charismatic champion of Black culture in Norfolk, but also an exceptional role model for gender equality in the learning and performance of African music. Anna has been based in the UK for more than 10 years, where she has quickly established herself as a highly skilled and well-respected workshop leader and performer of traditional African music. As a professional dancer and percussionist with an effervescent personality, Anna leads dynamic workshops rooted in Sub-Saharan traditions.
