The young Edward Burra visited Harlem in the 1930s and 40s at the height of The Harlem Renaissance. At that time Harlem was one of the most culturally dynamic places in the Twentieth Century.

A celebration of the English artist’s life and work is presented by Robert Short and the Rebus Theatre in The Curve. Immediately afterwards a Harlem style jam session with the Dave Holgate Trio is accompanied by a mouth watering soul food supper in Marzanos Bar.
