The Colour of Freedom is the true story of a white South African racist whose life was profoundly altered by the Black prisoner he guarded for twenty years. The prisoner’s name was Nelson Mandela. It goes without saying that Nelson Mandela left indelible footprints which even the passing of time cannot erase. Numerous films have been made about Nelson Mandela but only a handful of them are as engaging, riveting and captivating as this Billie August directed film.
